We make it easy for event organizers to run structured speed dating and networking events using our automated, web-based SaaS platform. Participants at Mixalot-powered events are paired on mini-dates based on their personal preferences, creating a far more efficient experience for meeting people that integrates the best of online and offline worlds. The software is currently in use nationally and we are seeking to grow into partnerships with online dating companies; dating events; alumni groups; business events; churches and synagogues; and more.
Job Description:
Mixalot seeks a python developer or technical team to take on an equity leadership role in managing tech development moving forward. The Mixalot software is live and in use nationally. The platform has been developed in Python, AngularJS, and Firebase on Google App Engine. We are seeking a developer with:
- Strong knowledge of Python
- Interest in algorithms for optimally matching and pairing people
- Desire to be a part of a fast-growing startup
- Passion to develop a robust code base
- Availability for occasional on-call periods during live events
- Strong skills in software QA and testing
- Knowledge of Google App Engine is helpful
- Regular availability, a minimum of 10 hours/week
