Growing tech startup seeks a Software Development Intern to provide quality assurance and monitoring support for our software product, which is used to run live face-to-face social networking events nationwide. Events utilizing the Mixalot software include straight and LGBT speed dating, as well as business networking and other social networking activities.
About Mixalot:
Mixalot LLC is a software startup that integrates technology into social events, including face-to-face speed dating and business mixers. We are creating a network of nationwide events that utilize our patent-pending software to coordinate live social interactions. Mixalot aims to combine the best of the tech and offline worlds to promote greater connections and community in real life.
Intern Responsibilities:
The Software Development Intern will work closely with Mixalot’s Director of Tech Development to test the product after software changes are deployed. In addition, the intern will assist with monitoring the software’s performance during live events, in which participants are matched with each other based on their personal preferences. Other responsibilities may be assigned based upon the intern’s skills. The Mixalot software platform runs on Google App Engine and is developed in Python and AngularJS.
This internship is unpaid, however, a bonus may be offered dependent on the company’s success in the coming year. We are seeking someone with a minimum availability of 5 hours per week for at least 6 months. All work may be performed remotely.
